[Shotimes] Airbag light flashes

Can't you just replace the whole steering module? I know I've seen those on
ebay for cheap..

My 1992 airbag light is flashing--seems to be a "5-1" pattern....what does
it mean, how do I resolve it? I've heard it might be a bad clockspring, but
isn't there a module behind the glovebox I can check first? The clockspring
replacement doesn't sound like fun....
