Jim, FWIW, I never grease the pins on the front brakes. On 3 SHOs that
I've had with the 89-92 style brakes I've never done it and I've never
had a dragging issue. I do heavily grease the rear pins though. I've
never greased them because I've never seen signs of grease to being
with. I get slightly premature wear on the front left side for some
reason, but its not too far ahead of the right side, so I just replace
both sides at the same time.
