Can't say it makes a difference but it is different. I read that
somewhere and when I had to get the windshield replaced in my previous
'95 I asked the glass guy about it. He said it is different and he
would replace it with the correct one.
Incidentally, I had to pay for it myself because it was less than my
deductible, and it only cost me $170 complete. It was a local place
in Perrysburg OH. Try calling your insurance company and see if they
suggest someone. I actually had two chips fixed for free in that
windshield before it had to be replaced. They just sent somebody out
to do it. They must "contract" with someplace.
Also, watch out that they get all the trim or weatherstripping glued
down good again. I had a piece on the passengers side that the wind
would catch and stick up at highway speeds. It looked real goofy.
They glued it again and it still did it.
