[Shotimes] Curious on headwork, valve job worth it on this car? SLIDES?

There is a number (its probably in the Helms)
regarding the max that can be taken off of the heads.
I asked this question on techsho awhile back and
someone provided an answer so you may want to check
the archives.

I would not use the copper headgasket unless you want
to retorque your heads every few months or so.

If you want bronze valve guides and oversized valves,
check out www.sivalves.com. These are the same parts
that the SHOshop sells but at a higher price. I'd call
them vs ordering online as the SHO application for the
guides has been replaced with something else. FWIW, my
bronze valve guides went in like buttah (according to
the shop) and were a great fit. That's either a
testament to the quality of their product, the
condition of my heads or both. I did not get the
oversized valves as I do not think that the SHO valves
are suffering from any size deficiences, nor do I want
to shift my powerband up any further than it will be
with the +20 cams and my other mods. The valve seals
are easily found either from Ford or Fel Pro. RCM
sells them. Check out his ebay store.

I'd really reconsider using a warped head. Even if you
cut the bottom of it to smooth it out, everything else
is still warped including the cam journals. This is
not a good thing. If you have extra heads, I'd just
use those.
