The SA2005 is supposed to be available now in October. I checked a few helmet sites, and no one has them yet, although a few are taking advance orders.

For folks who need one for Gingerman, I would wait until the end of next week. Once the SA2005 hits the market, there should be some great sales on SA2000.

Try:

racerwholesale.com They usually have pretty good prices and
selection. GEt the SA for sure, and maybe even wait to see when the
SNELL 2005 stickers become available. You will get five more years
legal use from the helmet just for waiting a little while (I think they
become available around the first of the year?).

The track event is with BMW CCA which allows M-rated helmets, but I'd really like to get an SA one for events that require it, like the SHO convention.

I will be using it more for riding then track events, so I am looking for helmets with the larger eye opening, and operable vents with full face. SA helmets with vents seem non-existent.
