[Shotimes] need trans help/suggestions asap

So I'm putting my trans case back together. It was
getting caught up on something. I noticed that the
smallest outer race was jammed in the case half pretty
nicely. It's only partway into the case so I need to
remove it and reset it. MAPP gas on the outside of the
case, freezing blasts of cold air on the race and all
types of banging, hammering, cursing and hair pulling
haven't done anything to budge it.

I'm about to wrap some tape around the jaws of a pair
of vice grips and hammer on the vice grips to see if I
can get it out that way. It's akward but it worked
when I managed to get a bucket wedged into one of my
cylinder heads.

Any suggestions? Moral support? =(
