[Shotimes] 06 IMPALA....Replacement for SHO?

Originally I read these were at 2800 lb or so, but have seen later numbers of closer to 3000 lb or so.  What's the actual curb weight?

Not a huge fan of the styling, and the rotary is nice for saving weight, but still not sure it's got the straight line panocha to make me want to buy one.  Maybe the mazda speed event will change my mind <g>

Probably would make a good open track car.

Speaking of Mazda, am I the only one around here who really would like to
have an RX8? The old Wankel has returned, and since I'm a geeky engineer
type, that just tickles my fancy, especially knowing that there were some
seriiously modded 3rd gen rx7's (ok, 1 more rotor) that could produce over
1000hp. It's light, well balanced, RWD, stick, and has smashing looks.
 Yeah it's no 4 door sedan, but hey - what do I need a 4 door sedan for
anyway? Or, better yet what do I need ANOTHER 4 door sedan for anyway.
 Anyway, I have no money to buy one anyway, I just wish I could.
