[Shotimes] High idle problems

Has he looked at the MAF sensor wires?  If it's dirty, it may cause idle problems?

Also, the MAF connector is a weak point and can also influence idle, though I think it typically will have an intermittent effect...not a persistent effect.

Has he done the TP sensor "drill-and-twist" modification to improve throttle response?  If so, the TP voltage at idle may have exceeded 1.0V.

How is his idle rpm when unplugging the IAC?  It should be around 750rpm (I'm not sure if this is true for ATX though.)  If it isn't, he should adjust the throttle body idle screw accordingly and subsequently reset the computer.

Lastly, does he have chip in his car? If so, try unplugging it and see what happens.
