[Shotimes] 06 IMPALA....Replacement for SHO?

Yes, styling is VERY subjective. In that vein, I utterly detest the new
Maxima styling (it looks like it has buck-teeth with the center panel in
the grill among other things). The Altima is OK but the interior was cheap
and poorly designed (I haven't seen the new, improved Altima interior yet)
plus it just felt heavy and slow to react from a handling perspective in
comparison to the Mazda. The two best things about the Altima were the
engine (of course) and the stereo. When it came right down to it, I
couldn't see myself forking over the cash for the Altima but I had no
problem with that decision on the 6 (and would make it again in a
heartbeat). So far, the 6 has been flawless after nearly two years of
ownership, even loaded to the gills with everything I could carry while
running from Hurricane Rita! :)

Like you said, they're all very nice cars. I chose the one that appealed
to me the most. Others may feel differently. That's what makes a world an
interesting place!

Well, styling is very subjective (I think the Altima/Maxima look far better
than the 6). I've only driven a newer Maxima at the dragstrip, but I've
been in my Ford buddy's 6 with a 5-speed a few times. Very nice car, but
personally I give the edge to the Nissan twins for power, styling and
interior quality (new Altima is much improved).

No one can go wrong with any of these cars, though. All three are very nice
sport sedans.

I drove both of the Nissans before I before I bought my Mazda6. Even
though the Nissans were more powerful, the 6 felt more agile and
sure-footed (plus the styling is FAR better). After nearly two years, I
still love my 6 and have absolutely no regrets.

Yeah, but power-wise, I would go for an Altima or Maxima to stay with FWD.

Isn't the Mazda 6 pretty close to the gen 1 SHO?
