Ron,
Good point, but if the SHO was had remained in production stateside it
would certainly have had to evolve just as it did upgrading to the V-8.
Australia and New Zealand address the market share much differently than
the US does. But the Falcon is certainly meant to target the same type
of auto enthusiasts that many of us are. Or maybe they could have at
least hooked up a blower to the Yamaha and gave us the Jag's AWD
system... then the SHO would have stayed competitive with BWM.
They're not the same car, but since there is no Gen IV SHO, I certainly
wouldn't mind importing the FPV GT-P...
~ just day dreaming...

V8 RWD with a manual tranny? Don't see any SHO comparisons there. The ad
copy even compares it to German sedans.
The SHO was Ford's FWD version of a sport sedan meant to be like a BMW.
BMW stayed the course with RWD and manual trannies, and other carmakers
are starting to come back to that model.
Well, except GM with the V8 FWD SS and GXP. In their case, it's as the
C&D test of the GXP said.....this would have been a great car 10 years
ago.
