[Shotimes] 92 MTX Steering Rack: Doable with jackstands in a carport?

I'll second the remove the front driver seat that Ian said. I find it's sooo
much easier to get in there and work. It is doable with jackstands, though I
have been putting off changin my rack till I drop the subframe in november
to resurface my fidanza in an effort to get rid of the chatter I get with
Josh's 9-puck. It's much easier to do with the subframe out of the way, but
then again what isn't easier under the car without the SF there.

I wonder if Southbend or Spec would sell me just a different clutch disc
separate from the whole PP/TOB package. Not that I don't love my SHOnut
9-puck, but sometimes the chatter bothers me and I've heard good things
about the engagement on some of the spec clutches.

If you are tall and/or wide, I suggest removing the front seat so you can
lie across the floor with your head under the dash when you unbolt the rack
from the column. It's a fun job!

Complain loudly to your significant other when you're finished so that you
get a back and shoulder rub. =)
