Erik,

Is your car's engine stock or modified?  High HC means unburned gas,
possibly as a result of dirty injectors, bad O2 sensors (is the back bank
sensor OK?), or even old cat's. Could also be a vacuum leak somewhere (?).

That's my $.02.
