Unless you have certain models of Toshiba DVRs that connect to Tivo via the Internet and my wireless network. My Toshiba box has a USB port on the back, and I have a Linksys wireless access point plugged in.

But, if I ever need to totally reregister the Tivo box, it must be done initially via phone line.

Don't get it if you have a TIVO that makes daily dial-up calls. The TIVO
doesn't work with an VoIP packages.

Does anybody use this phone service? Does anybody know any downsides? It
sounds almost too good to be true, compared to our unlimited long distance
plan through Verizon. Almost half the price. Any hidden costs?
