I've seen several posts on this topic lately. My son had a problem just of this nature. Unfortunately he is 4.5 hrs away at college, not so easy to see what's going on. Finally got a chance to get up here. First thing I did was to pull the codes. He only had one stored code, a 542, and the static test was clean. Next I looked at all the electrical connections. I noticed the rear DIS connector had backed out. Also, it appears the DIS housing itself is cracked and as a result the retention mechanism isn't secure as it should be. After all this, my son decides to tell me the car had last died after he ran over a speed bump. That time he required AAA to bail him out.
Anyway, after jumpstarting the car, and flooring the gas pedal while cranking, I was able to get the car to fire. I'm going to find a replacement DIS to ensure this doesn't happen again, but at least the car is good to go for a while.
