yes, the time is at hand!
in the meantime, dry crank your motor (with the DIS unplugged, or at WOT) till your oil light goes off, then you can crank it. this will bring oil to the bearings @ 250 rpm instead of buzzing it up to 2000 rpm dry.
I am one of the few who think this, but in my experience the 3.2L auto cars are harder on the bottom end bearings.

Greetings,
I think that I might be getting ready to experience a rod bearing failure.
This morning, and recently also, I have noticed a loud, quick knock at start
up after my SHO has been sitting for a day or more. I have a 94 ATX, so it
has always raced at start up, which I understand is normal, but this is
relatively new. I don't hear the knocking any other time, once it's
started, but I think I heard a knocking as I passed a wall while
accelerating through about 3000 rpms last week. I couldn't duplicate it
later, though. So, this sounds like rod bearings? What do you all think?
Thanks, JB _______________________________________________
