[Shotimes] alternators

Funny--if I remember correctly my ORIGINAL alternator was made by Mitsubishi for Ford on my 94 ATX when I had it replaced a few months ago with a new one and yes, it was terribly expensive--I paid over $250 for it and then had to have it installed! I was told there was a $50.00 difference in the price of an MTX and an ATX but that an ATX REQUIRED the "more" expensive part and I'm wondering now if I got ripped off? It feels good that I have a "new" one that did last for 10 years, but still it hurts to get stabbed like that.

Your right they are not Ford but Mitsubishi and expensive! They do last a LOT
longer than they old Ford stuff but they cost about 4 or 5 times as much. I
still have both original units on my cars at 189K and 138K.
