Yeah, and the higher windspeeds also contribute to that by helping the
low-pressure scenario. Think of an airplane wing, with the faster air over
the top creating lift.

wonder how slow you'd go in the 1/4 with an N/A SHO with that baro :)
I never realized till recently that the low baro is what causes most of the
storm surge, the pressure is less over the storm area, and thus the water
just "dome's" up under it.
