Some tips I learned:
When removing plugs wires and there are signs of oil in the wells.Take an ordinary squirt bottle,I used a old windex bottle that was 24 oz.I stuck the hose end in the well a squirted onto a shop rag.It gets 99% of the oil out of the wells.Now you can remove the plugs without the headache of mass amounts of oil getting into the cylinders and making your SHO smoke like a train.When removing the cam covers you will notice there are some RTV in several places on the heads,make sure you scrape off and apply a dab when reappyling.

I ordered all new plugs, wires, and valve seals. Today I brought the SHO home. I did it in two steps to make sure everything was alright. I drove it from my girlfriend's house to my dad's, which was about a three minute drive. I let it cool off there so the motor could stop smoking, and then I drove it the final seven minutes to my house. When I got to the house, there was no smoke, so I'm assuming that I was right in guessing that the smoke on the motor was just caused by leaking oil from when I pulled the plugs. The motor is also running decently smooth again. I'm hoping I've burned out most of the oil. Tomorrow I will begin tearing it down to clean the valve covers and intake manifold so it will be all pretty when my seals and plugs come.
