Fasten a good sized solid copper wire (like wire for the inside wall of a house) to
one of the necks that the heater hoses fasten to, and run it over to the ground
fastener on the right side rear (of the engine compartment, next to the cam sensor)
intake maifold bracket.  That is where the engine is grounded to the body.  Use a
second hose clamp on the core neck, and fasten (solder, preferably) a full circle
connector to the other end.  That way it will never vibrate apart.

The most recent core lasted 10 years on the super core eater, the Slorider wagon. 
Just swapped it this summer, after 10 years of service.  Before grounding, it ate a
heater core every month...under warranty, thankfully.
