[Shotimes] Brake Upgrade time... again

I have 12.5" Baers with TCE two-piece rotors.

I've had several problems with the Baer brake system.

Additionally, the rotors are heavy.

TCE rotors are significantly lighter, at least when you compare to the solid Baer rotors, the TCE rotors are 6lbs lighter. If you compare with Eradispeeds, I don't know, but I'm quite sure you'd still see lower weight in TCE because Baer's rotors have more material in the rotor itself.

The TCEs have much less material in them (at the same thickness of 1.1"), but have bigger vanes and thinner vane-to-surface walls. This, I think also has the benefit of better ventilation. In fact, I think ventilation is more important than heat capacity (i.e., rotor mass)...up to a point.

So, if I had to do it all over again, I would go with 12.5" TCE brakes, as not only are the rotors better, the calibers are better too in that it's a more modern design (e.g., doesn't use archaic banjo bolt for the brake line) and has 6 pistons instead of Baer's 2 pistons.
