I understand that aspect of things too, but that extra day costs at least
$100-125 more and requires the extra day off work that I couldn't make happen.

For us penny pinchers, that day of down time isn't really worth the added
expense and the additional time away from home.

  Others can chime in that actually participated in both events.  IMHO a day
of down / travel time between the road course and drags is not a bad idea.  At
the conventions it isn't so bad when you are going back to the same hotel and
everything is all settled in.  Most folks will stay at different places during
the week, and Doing that after a long day at the roadcourse (or the morning of
the drags) is not my cup 'o tea..

    How much more expensive ?  With one less day off work, one less day of one
    the raod meals,one less night at the bar, and one less hotel stay, it may
    actually be cheaper to pay more for the track......just a thought.

    I could have made it this time if it weren't for the extra day (night)
    needed off work.......
