[Shotimes] RE: ethanol additive

Does anybody have experience with methanol added gas? I just filled up
with Shell in Springfield Ma and noticed it had a 10% methanol content.
I ahd half a tank so 9 gallons filled me up. (price was .35 a gallon
cheaper than at home, thought I was getting a deal!) Within 100 miles I
noticed it was running rough and when I stopped for a pit stop as I
stood by the rear I could hear misfires, which is not normal.
So does this sound like a crappy gas problem? I filled up again as soon
as I got home (6 gallons) to try to dilute what was in there in case it
is bad, but I am wondering about that methanol content. Maybe the sho
doesn't like it? It was 87 octane regular, but that is what i have been
running since high test got too expensive for my budget.
I remember running gasohol in another car many years ago with no adverse
results. SO does anybody have any information, a similar experience, or
suggestions?
