Absolutely Correct Mr Nimz

without the finds or ability. Sure some sat around because of their wayward

But, they won't let me build a permanent structure in the 100 year flood plain
in my back yard. They will let me and my children help pay billions to
rebuild a city that will sooner or later suffer the same fate. Who's the dumb
ass of the bunch. And what the government doesn't spend on my behalf the
insurance companies will.

Those that are good people and couldn't get out should have had assistance
from the government at some level. It easy to give the mandatory evacuation
order but to leave behind people in nursing homes and hospitals is inexcusable
for any level of government that is elected to represent these people.

We as a nation can spend $100s of billions overseas in questionable activities
that does no good for anyone as a private citizen. But we are four days after
the event on home land, a very strategic part of the homeland, and still not
up to the task.

It does not make any difference which political belief or leanings these
officials have. They are elected as politicians to carry out the matters of
government. Those that have failed so crucially need to be removed from their
responsibilities.

pissed a more than a few people off, here is my feelings on the storm. My
oldest brother lived in Southern Illinois all his life till he retired and
bought a house in Biloxi in April of 2005, have had to evacuate 3 times
already, am sure is house is probably severly damaged, last we heard from him
was Sunday before the storm hit, this is what the answering machine said, "We
have evacuated to Georgia" so we are pretty sure they are safe, had the God
given sense to get out of harms way. The bible says a wise man builds his
house upon the Rock, a fool on the sand(or below sea level). One of the main
reasons we have floods in the midwest, is because greed has caused us to try
and control the Mississippi River, by putting up levees, so instead of a
little flooding everyyear, we end up with Natural Disiasters like we have now
, have had in the past, and will have in the future. We Christians pray for
