[Shotimes] Speed Upgrades

Well, whether you call it an improvement or not (and the car mfrs do), the
mfrs have gotten a lot better at producing nice, flat torque curves, rather
than the "kick" at a certain rpm.

About all of the cars that Carl listed below produce more power than the
SHO, and have better performance numbers. If the SHO engine was built today,
it would probably also have the level torque curve. I've already had a
couple of people tell me that y turbo car doesn't feel like a turbo with
it's flat torque curve.....as opposed to older turbos that had the on/off
switch at a certain rpm.

Carl's got a point, the motor has a grin factor.
ditch the silencer and box and then go with an aftermarket exhaust. I have
had more than one person ride in my car for a whil under 3500 RPM. You can
tell they just think something is noisy. Best part though is to put it in
3rd or 4th (if you have lots of non-cop-infected room) and run from 2k-6k.
Watch them go "What the heck was THAT!?" When the secondaries open at WOT.
Sorry, I gotta say I love that sound :) It's worth the pennies in maintnance
to just hear that. That's why even with gas prices at $3/gallon when I drive
the green car, I generally accelerate spirited. Just cause it makes "the
noise"
Now I just need it to make "the other noise". Whistle Whistle...
