Basically, yes.  There is only one sensor on the crankshaft.  We all call it the
CPS, or crank position sensor.  It's up in the front, under the timing belt
sprocket.  The official Ford name of it is the CKP sensor (for 'CranK Position), I
think....I can't find reference to it with that name right now, but I think that is
right.  It's the bear to get to...you have to take the front of the engine off,
including the timing belt.  The grey connectors for it are visible at the front end
of the intake (pax side), at the opposite end from the throttle body.

The other sensor that tells the computer which cylinder is which, after the CPS
tells it when # 1 piston is at the top of its travel is the cam sensor.  That one,
called the CID sensor (for 'Cylinder ID') is outside the engine, over on its right
front side, in front of the passenger when he is sitting in his seat.  It's easy to
change, after you remove a few parts....takes less than an hour.  When that fails,
the engine starts hard, but will run once it is started.  The CPS will kill it dead,
and leaves no codes in the computer for you to read, most of the time.
