[Shotimes] news from the front

Howdy all, have you forgotten who I am yet? Anyway, I'm just writing to
let you guys know what's going on (if you care, if you don't, just close
this now). Right now I'm ported in Naples, Italy, which is just an
absolute ****-hole of a city. I'm quite frankly appalled. There's trash
waist-high just sitting on roadsides and ugh. But last week we ported in
Palma, Spain, which is just the absolute opposite. The city is gorgeous,
the women are even more so (and nude beaches abound), and everybody is
really friendly. If you ever go overseas to Spain, you should definitely
visit the island of Mallorca. It's good stuff.

We've been gone for, uh, 20 days now and we're just starting to get into
the swing of things. Once we leave Naples (not soon enough), we'll cross
through the Suez canal into the Gulf of Arabia and then swing on around
Oman into the Persian gulf, where we'll go bomb some meatheads. Fun
stuff!

I miss home, but what can I do? Such is the way of life. We should be
back mid-march and then I can work on my beloved SHO again!

In the meantime I'll just keep playing with my .50 cal machine gun with
the M16A2/M203 slung across my chest and enough ammo to turn back
Rommel's Afrika Corps. All of them. Twice. >:D
