[Shotimes] OT: Pontiac GTO

It looks like that is the case here too.  2 overdrive gears.  Tremec
may have shift kits you can install to make simple modifications.  I
suspect it would advance the gear ratios higher and would be at the
expense of fuel economy.  Right now the 6M is exempt from the $1300
gas guzzler tax.  And, this transmission is not rated to run higher
that 6500 RPM which I found interesting.
