[Shotimes] Underhood oil smoke

Sounds a lot like the infamous Oil Pressure Sender
leak.  Easiest to get at from underneath.  I've always
just used a big adjustable wrench to get mine off. 
About 5 bucks at any auto parts store, the sender, not
the big ol' wrench...
