I just read an article yesterday that Franky is quitting acting for a while to try his hand at professional racing.  I don't remember if the mentioned what he'll be doing though.  I think I read it on the autoweek site.

Notice Patrick Dempsey and Frankie Muniz in the PROFESSIONAL  ranks?  I remember seeing Frankie on Leno right after Malcom in  the Middle became a big hit.  Frankie had already bought a 911,  and he couldn't drive it.  He was 14, I think.  So, it  doesn't surprise me that he has been spending time on the track.   I didn't realize Patrick did.
  
  Captain Kirk might have done better if he weighed what he did in 1969,  rather than what he does now, but lots of us are in a similar boat...
