Ron,

Sorry to say you have it wrong, I don't hate Car and Driver, I have a
problem with their bias.

I have a problem with most of the so-called "American" magazines. They
are way too much in love with imports and can't seem to find anything
nice to say about typical American cars. If you read them with an
unbiased mind, you will see that they use every negative word they can
and take every chance to put down anything that isn't on their favorites
list.

Good example. They make fun of the Impala with a shot of LF corner,
what the industry calls a "detail" shot. The caption, practically
dripping with sarcasm says "Three badges in ONE detail shot!" Like it
is something to be ashamed of. And yet in the same issue in the review
of the Bangle ugly BMW M roadster, they have the same shot also with
THREE badges. But in this case, the roundel makes it OK. Different
rules for different cars.

Read their articles, they have virtually nothing nice to say if it isn't
on their internal fav's list.

I have driven most of the cars they put down with vicious remarks and
biting commentary. Similar faults or performance by imports are
overlooked or they let them slide without the sarcasm or the venom oozing.

I don't need to lighten up, I would just like to see some objective
writing instead of really bad personally biased commentary passed off as
a publication.

My opinion and I'm entitled to it, you should recognize that attitude! :)
