FWIW, The '95 MTX that I bought back in late '01 had one of these
aftermarket warranties:

The previous owner got it at 68K in early 2001, and it was good for 36K/3
years. He paid $1,200 for it, which included a zero deductible and a free
loaner car for 30 days.

It more than paid for itself!! Brian had about $3,500 done in warranty work,
then I bought the car less than a year later at 78K. I had a tranny rebuild
covered (just under $2K), plus another $2,500 or so for a blend door, ABS
controller & sensors, and a couple of other things that I don't recall.

It turned out to be WELL worth the $$$!!!!

What's a warranty?  Never had one of those on a car... just all the parts
that come from Autozone.....  (Seriously... I've never had a vehicle with a
warranty)
