Yeah, now I'm wondering about that too.  Not many in that flight  regime that 
can use a VW engine.  Monocoque construction, maybe retractable  gear, 
anything to minimize parasitic drag.  Unconventional design.   Something along the 
lines of a VariEze or BD-5.
