That's not what exempt means - exempt means you are exempt from federal wage
and hour laws - like Paul!

You seem to be describing non-exempt, although employers CAN pay overtime
and/or premiums to exempt employees, id they want...

It must be tough being that kind of salaried.  I am what is called 'salaried
exempt'.  Basically it means that if I work 38 or 35 hours, I get paid for 
40(salaried).  If I work 45 or 48 I get paid for 45 or 48.(exempt)   Also 
get 40+8 for almost any holiday.. I do not get time and 1/2 for over 40, but
after 42 we get 'premium time'.  Time plus $6.00/hr.  It's not much, but
every little bit helps.  What I really like is being asked to work a holiday
that I am not scheduled to work.  We get time for working plus time for
being called in plus time for the holiday.  I just have to keep reminding
myself that it's like triple time.
