On the new G35s, they are 280 HP with the automatic, and 298 HP with the
manual

When I was car-shopping, it was one of the cars on my list, and it dropped
off once I made the manual-tranny AWD decision (no MTX with the AWD G35).
Reviews have been good.

One common thing that had come up is that, despite the HP ratings, the car
doesn't feel" very quick with the way it is tuned and sound-deadened. This
makes some sense, as John Semchena's pure stock '02 6-speed Maxima has run
14.40 @ 98 (by the Bolt-On Driver....Dave Garber) with it's 255 HP rating
(IIRC) and the car really doesn't "feel" that quick. 

For as pretty as they are, there are some complaints that the styling is
getting dated. Personally, I still love the coupe, and the sedan is fine
(neither better or worse, design-wise, than other cars in its class).

FWIW, if you want to paw through this, there are some comments on it from
this group. Now, keep in mind that these are folks who then bought an LGT,
so there is a fair amount of bias (!!), BUT there are some good reviews of
the 35 (and other cars) buried in all these posts:

Hey guys, my wife and I are thinking about getting as our next car an
Infiniti G35 sedan. What are your guys' opinions of this car? It seems
to be a worthy SHO successor, 4 door sedan, 260HP, 6-speed manual, LSD
in the rear... by all rights quite a nice car. The wife quite likes the
styling as well, and it's RWD! You can't beat that. Anything bad about
it worth knowing? Thanks as usual for all y'all's insight!
