Your '66 Charger, and the General Lee, and the "Bullitt" Charger do not have a fender kick.
The Challenger always had the nice curves. Look at the Challenger concept car then look at the new 4-door Charger - the Challenger is where they got the fender kick. They used the fender kick on the new Charger because it is a recognizable Dodge styling cue. They also used it to set the Charger apart from its 300-cousin.
Remember, the Challenger is ONLY a CONCEPT car. You guys keep talking about it like it's definitely going to be built.
