Well, the shop I took it to couldn't find anything wrong with it (naturally)
so I'm going to replace the cam sensor first to see if that cures it (thanks
Mark), since the tach was still reading 250rpms while I was cranking. The
car is still for sale, by the way...

OK, my fears have actualized. My car wouldn't start tonight trying to
leave work. Pulled a code 211...PIP circuit fault. I'm waiting on the tow
truck right now. Anyone want to buy a SHO? Seriously, I was going to sell
my other car and keep the SHO for a while, but now that I can't drive the
Sho anymore, it's gonna have to go first. I'm going to get a quote on
replacing the crank sensor, but depending on the price, I may or may not
have it done.
