Yeah, I hear you!! ;-)
My next adventure is when I was ready to buy a new '73 455 HD T/A. I walkd into a dealership in May '73, hung around a Firebird, and no one greeted me. I finally grabbed a sales dweeb, and he told me that '73 Firebirds were sold out for the year.
I briefly considered ordering a '73 Lemans with a 455 SD, but I hated the way they looked. In hindsight, a 455 SD Lemans would have been a VERY rare car, but so is life!!

I kept my Boss. I have recently learned from the guy that bought my '63 Riviera
just how much they are worth. Even sitting with rabbit eaten wiring, not running
since 1995, painted the wrong colors, it is worth $6K. Wash it....just WASH it, and
it is worth 10K. Get it running and it is worth 15K. Repaint it stock, clean up
all the storage crap, and it is worht $25K. Convert it back to gasoline...I still
have the carburetor...and it is worth in the mid 30s, even with no smog equipment.
Cherry, it would be worth on the high side of 50K....and probably rising rapidly,
like the others.
It gets cleaned up and museumed in 2006.
