I believe repeated donut failures are because there is too much movement in
the front motor mount, which tears rather easily. Check and repair that
first. Then you should have much less trouble with the donut. My 89 went
280K and only needed one donut, but even then it was mainly because it wore
thru the pipe and I had to replace the flange section of pipe.
Both my MTX SHO's needed front motor mounts at less than 80K.
