Yes, it does.  There is no way to get to all the allen screws that hold it down with the intake in place.  Any work done to the cam covers or fuel rails/injectors requires that the intake come off.

There are those with arms of rubber and the patience of Job that can change plugs and wires with the intake installed.  That's about all anyone can do with it on.  One must makes the assumption that there is no oil in the wells.  (It is possible to change the IAB valve with it on, if you have steady fingers and the right 1/4 inch ratchet and extension.)
