[Shotimes] dynomax (easy install)?

I removed and installed mine with a 3 ton floor jack, 2 jack stands, 9/16"
and 1/2" wrenches/sockets, and MOST important a sawzall with a metal blade
in my driveway.

I guess I had a particularly bad fit on the system I received...
The whole problem was the bend before the drivers side muffler in the rear
Y-pipe, it seems as though it wasn't put in the jig correctly before
welding.

I ended up having to take an oxy acetylene torch with a rosebud tip on it to
heat the inadequate bend that was the cause of my fitment issue to red hot
with the system aligned as good as I could get it. I just heated it until
glowing and pushed up on it to make the bend correct. I coated the heated
area with high temp engine paint due to hearing that it will rust faster
after being heated... 

It CAN be done relatively easily; most people haven't had the issue I had,
at least not nearly to the same degree.

There may be some other quirks to installing one on a Gen 1, however, but I
will leave comment on that to others that have a Gen 1 as I don't.

I want to replace the exhaust on my 89 before it falls off on it's own.  It
is currently being held on with bailing wire and the mufflers have holes in
them.  Was thinking I would use a catless Y to save money since we don't
cats in KS.  I would go with Dynomax for the rest since it is the only
complete exhaust kit available for the SHO that I have found.  Is this the
kind of job a non-mechanic could do with simple hand tools and a floor jack
on a weekend?  I do have an air compressor and impact tools, but no way to
weld.  I have got to make friends with somebody with a lift....
