[Shotimes] drag racing advice

I ran a best of 14.851 at 94.33mph. That was a full weight car with
bolt-ons just short of cams.

If the starting point is a good trans, the car will last a while if you
stay away from the burnout box. Drag slicks or radials may be tough on
the tranny though.

A stock stripped atx should run a low 14.
Run straight pipes and open up the intake. That should net a few hp.
Stiffening the suspension and frame would help traction. A TwEECer or
LPM should be considered mandatory. Maybe you could install a roll bar
with frame stiffeners and cut the roof off for a creative exercise.

Anyone drag race a V-6 ATX that could offer some advice?
I may wind up helping the local high school auto shop convert their 95
ATX SHO
to strip duty.
How much abuse can the ATX take?
What are the suggested mods?
Anyone have some ATX E.T.s to share?
Lee
