Autocrossing is a blast. Careful you might get hooked.
Suggestions: Get a decent helmet, then pump the tires full of air, like
40-45psi in front. Nothing else, then go drive. On each turn: Slow down very
early, so you can turn early, straighten out the wheel early, and get on the
gas as early as you can. Slow hands = fast times.
Have fun! You can drive for years with nothing more high-tech than a tire
guage and shoe polish to measure tire scrub. If you're scrubbing over the
edge of your tires, and you got 45lbs, change your driving style. Straighten
the wheel out as you ease on the gas.
