My 2000 VW Golf TDI uses 1 quart at 8,000 miles. My '93 SHO used 1 quart per
4,000 miles once I got the valve cover leak fixed.

My 99 w/96k miles used about 1/2 quart in 7000 miles as well (running 5w30
synthetic). My 96 Crown Vic with 200k on it uses about a quart every 1300
miles.
