Initial tests are always great, outlining all of the improvements on the
prior model.

Then, the reviews a year down the road are "Well....." and the bubble gets
burst.

Bottom line....they are still Chevies. Buy one, then go to a Chevy dealer
for service....BTDT. I was stupid once, then got more stupid twice. NEVER
AGAIN.

Still are 1950's cars perfected...like a 911.....and Porsche has done a FAR
better job.

As I tell folks who like Vettes but have never owned one. Go ahead and buy
one and then decide.

Ron Porter ($80K in my pocket buys a 911 or a Viper)

it's pretty expensive, I doubt if the blocks are made that same way. That
being said, I know as much about HD's as I do 14th century poetry.

Then we can stop every gas fill up like the F1 cars and change the air
charge tank for the pneumatic valves :)

wasn't BMW playing around with such in the 7 series a couple of years ago?

the advantage of a cam in block motor physical size and weight, due to
simplicity. obviously overhead cam provides much more airflow potential
(torque per cube, basically VE) and higher rpm capabiliy due to direct
acting geometry, but at the expense of more weight (larger heads) and 3 more
cams (in the case of a "V" DOHC)

pick you flavor, nothing wrong with either if done right :)

you could have the best of both worlds with an electromagnetic or pneumatic
valve system, shrink the heads and dump the bump sticks.
