[Shotimes] t-stat temp dumb Q

Hey guys, I'm finally back in Norfolk! And glad to be here. Anyway, I
have a stupid question about thermostats. What's the difference between
a 180 degree and 185 or 190 or whatever degree t-stat (other than 5-10
degrees)? I mean, what difference will it make to the engine? I vaguely
recall something about the higher temp the t-stat is, the faster an
engine warms up or something? I might be smoking crack...
