[Shotimes] brake spongy

Depends on how bad it was. I mean, ya it'll be wiped off of the rotors for
sure. But it can build up in the pads and have a negative effect on the pads
ability to dig into the rotors. As an example, the 99 I just picked up was
sitting for a solid 4 months. Same deal - lots of rust on the rotors. I put
over 200 miles on the car and the brakes still didn't "feel" right to me.
When I took them apart, the front pads had a thick buildup of rust/grime in
the center slot of the pads, and the pads themselves were kind of
glazed/funky. I sanded the pads and the rotors (the surface of the rotors.
they also had a glazed look to them), cleaned up the caliper brackets and
pins and put it all back together. Brakes work awesome now! Problem solved..
