I am curious to find out why you don't like Fram?

Yup I run an FL1A or equvalent on my cars, but they are MTX's.  The
ATX has a bit different front exhaust header that may keep you from
getting the FL1A in there.  There should be no problem witht he
FL-400S size, a lot of us just use the FL1A becasue it's a bit bigger.

As far as brand, almost any of the major brands are good with the
exception of Fram.  I wouldn't put a fram filter on my lawnmower.
