[Shotimes] what t-stat to buy and fan settings

Well, my (less than?) 2 year old Rev B Ford T-stat is
stuck shut. I want to replace it today. I have an
older spare Rev B kicking around at home that I could
use. However, if I can get a new unit locally (Pep
Boys, Autozone, Advance Auto, etc) I'd like to get
that. For the longest time, people swore on getting
Motorcraft only but I'd like to hear other
suggestions. Should I get a lower temp unit?

Speaking of which, I want to change when my fans kick
on and off. I was wondering if anyone had a good
suggestion for what settings to use (TwEECer).
