The last issue of Autoweek magazine featured a lot of stories on Teen 
drivers and how to help make them better/safer drivers.  It also focused 
on the driver training/licensing problem in the U.S.

The current issue just out has an editorial by Dutch Mandel and I urge

I have written to volunteer to help, and hope many others do also.  I am 
tired of the awful drivers on our roads, and the mounting death toll 
among our teen population.  IN my own county of Tazewell, IL, there have 
been almost 20 teen deaths in the last 1.5 years alone!  Most were not 
wearing seatbelts, not all involved alcohol. 

We need to do something about driver education and licensing in this 
country.  Let's get involved!
