[Spits] GT6 MK1 Cross member needed

Anyone out there have a frame front cross member for a GT6 mk1 or spit mk1 or mk2?  I have a rotoflex frame that I'd like to use for a restoration of a MK1...yeah, I know they're different.

Nigel at Spitbits seems to think it would be easier to weld a new front cross member to the frame than to try to cut bonnet mounts off the existing frame & line up MK1 bonnet mounts?

Experience and wisdom is always welcome!
